Does the Illuminati Society require human sacrifice?

No! The Illuminati’s purpose is the preservation of the human species. Therefore, any practice that DOES NOT serve the betterment of mankind would counter everything we represent, and are thus prohibited in all circumstances.

While many have attributed such actions to our members, these connections are based only in rumor.

From 1776 to 2026

Illuminati Founded

The Illuminati Society was founded on 1 May 1776 by Adam Weishaupt in the Electorate of Bavaria, Germany. Adam Weishaupt was born on 6 February 1748 in Ingolstadt in the Electorate of Bavaria. Initially Illumination was designated for a group of outstanding and enlightened individuals in the society. Indeed, the word was adapted from a Latin root, Iluminatus, which directly translates to “enlightened.” He also adopted the name of “Brother Spartacus” within the order. The order sought to promote the doctrines of equality & freedom throughout the society.

Ideological Breakaway

In 1840, an ideological divide ensued in the Illuminati. Significant divergence in beliefs, values, and opinions led to polarization and disintegration of the Illuminati society into two groups. Our breakaway faction did NOT support offering of sacrifices while the other splinter group allowed blood sacrifices.

Second HQ Established

In a bid to better streamline our global operations, the Supreme Council of the Illuminati Society established a second headquarters in New York City, United States of America. The new headquarters in USA was strategically designed to support operations of the first HQ in Germany. The HQ in NYC currently handles global membership recruitments and transitions.

Gone Public

2000: Following a sharp increase in unscrupulous activities from individuals who falsely claimed to be our agents while spreading lies and propaganda, the Supreme Council of the Illuminati Society resolved to come out publicly, albeit partially, to set the record straight by presenting the true position and ideologies of the Society.

Invented Crypto

In 2009, the Illuminati Society, through Satoshi Nakamoto, one of our genius members, created Bitcoin — the first cryptocurrency. The core purpose was to create a decentralized digital currency that does not rely on banks or governments, allowing for peer-to-peer financial transactions. The 2008 global financial crisis and bank bailouts fueled our belief that the traditional financial system was flawed and too reliant on trust in institutions. We wanted people to have complete control over their own money without the risk of seizure by a government or bank. To achieve this, we developed blockchain technology to securely and transparently record transactions in a distributed, public ledger, which solves the problem of double-spending without a central authority.

In January 2026, the Recruitment Council of the Illuminati Society rolled out a seamless structure to ease the recruitment, on-boarding, and transition of members through the ranks. The Society:
